Founded by C·Josef Lamy in 1930 in Heidelberg, Orthos F-üllfederhalter-Fabrik marks the beginning of the illustrious history of LAMY, a German brand of pre-eminent writing tools. The innovative acuity of LAMY was demonstrated in 1952 when the LAMY 27 streamlined pen, equipped with the unprecedented Tintomatik system, was released. In 1966 Gerd A.Müller finally produced a refreshing modern classic, the LAMY 2000 series. For the first time, the product combines polycarbonate and stainless steel, which makes it stand out from other writing tools. Today, it still dominates the market.
